The strength of bulletproof coffee is the addition of MCT oil containing medium-chain saturated fatty acids. Their natural sources can be found in coconut oil, palm oil and milk fat (especially from goats and sheep). Among the types of MCT, there are caprylic , caproic and capric acids, and some also classify here lauric acid. In coconut oil, it is the richest in caprylic acid.
